Daniel Fernando is a well-known Filipino actor and politician who has been serving as the governor of Bulacan Province since 2019. He started his acting career in the 1980s and rose to fame for his daring role as a male strip dancer in the controversial movie Macho Dancer in 1988. His performance in the film earned him critical acclaim and a Best Actor award from the Gawad Urian Awards. He has since appeared in numerous movies and television shows, mostly in drama and action genres. He also ventured into politics and became the vice governor of Bulacan in 2013 before winning the gubernatorial race in 2019.
